ChargeOnTime is designed with your privacy in mind. We collect the minimum data necessary to provide the app's functionality.
When you sign in with your Tesla account, the app accesses the following through the Tesla Fleet API:
Vehicle data: Vehicle name, VIN, online status, battery level, charge limit, charging state, and charge port status. This data is used solely to display your vehicle's status and calculate charging schedules.
On your device only. ChargeOnTime does not have a backend server or database. All data stays on your device:
- OAuth tokens are stored in iOS Keychain (encrypted, hardware-backed storage).
- Preferences (charge limits, trip settings) are stored locally on your device.
- No vehicle data is transmitted to any server other than Tesla's own API.
Tesla requires that vehicle commands be cryptographically signed. Commands are routed through a secure proxy server that signs them with a private key. The proxy does not store any data — it only forwards signed commands to Tesla's API.
Tesla Fleet API: Used to read vehicle data and send commands. Subject to Tesla's Privacy Policy.
Apple: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
ChargeOnTime does not include any analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs.
We do not sell, share, or transfer your personal data to any third parties.
You can delete all app data by signing out within the app or by deleting the app from your device. This removes all locally stored tokens and preferences.
